Counter Drone System PERDIX Announced

by Vittorio Ciccarelli | Oct 5, 2026 | Products

We are proud to share that PERDIX was featured on WDR’s Aktuelle Stunde. Our Counter Drone System, jointly developed with technisch-mathematische studiengesellschaft mbH (tms), was presented at EUDEX 2026 in Essen.

The increasing use of small, low-cost attack drones is changing the requirements of modern Air Defense. Conventional air defense systems can be highly effective, but deploying expensive interceptors against comparatively inexpensive drones presents a significant economic challenge.

So how can low-flying attack drones be reliably detected, tracked, and intercepted at economically viable costs?

PERDIX combines irisnet’s expertise in Artificial Intelligence and AI-based real-time detection with interceptor technology developed by tms. Together, these capabilities form a scalable Counter-UAS system for the lowest layer of air defense.

This joint CounterUAS development brings AI and Defense Technology together to address the growing challenge of low-flying attack drones.

Detect & Track

The PERDIX ground station uses irisnet’s real-time AI and advanced sensor technology to detect drones at close range and continuously track their movement.

Intercept

Once a threat is identified, the Smart Effector PX75 developed by tms enables the targeted kinetic interception of low-flying attack drones.

Designed for Cost Efficiency

PERDIX addresses one of the key challenges in modern Counter Drone defense: countering low-cost threats with an economically sustainable solution.

The goal is to provide a key component of a scalable, layered air defense architecture.
